Too much calcium can be as problematic as not enough. You might want to consult your vet for the proper amount for yours. **Q: Does this expire after a year?** A: I had one that was more than a year old i and gave it to my elderly cat. It did wonders for her. She gained weight and is very happy. After that one she consumed 3 more tubes. My husband is a chemist. Call them and make sure they did change or maybe it was over heated in shipping. So we decided to add it straight into their meal once a day. This along with the their fish oils, and kidney gold, and bone broth all mixed into their wet food. They eat the whole bowl without hesitation.
