I replaced their shoelaces with elastic bungee cord, and used the barrel locks to cinch them tight--no more untied shoes!They are 5/8" in diameter and hold the bungee paracord securely. They are also a great fit for the standard 550 paracord and grip securely. We have outdoor shoes we use for working in the yard and garden and we spent a lot of time tying and untying shoes. It's great. No floppy laces to step on and often you can just slip the shoes on without unlocking the cord lock.Mostly I've used barrel locks, but I decided to try these for a flatter alternative.
