(basically it was a small voltage drop from the mains supply that would trigger the unit to send a text to my phone, saying the bug needed charging... which it doesn't as it runs on the mains). As for getting it to work you have to send the bug a pairing code,which is supplied, so it 'binds' to the phone that sent it after waiting a few minutes all was good. Call quality though was a bit hit and miss.. I guess this is due to the environment the bug is placed and the sensitive microphone built in that are voice activated. I found wearing a pair of Bluetooth earphones helpful in listening in, but there were still conversations hard to pick out.. If I were the developer I would ditch the voice activated call back feature as I think this is where the problem lies, as the bugs microphone triggers only when people talk.... Better to have an 'Always on' mic (once dialled) to stop the clipping. Other than that.. it does work, if your patient enough with it........P.
