It seemed to do a good job of keeping my work dry on the one or two occassions when it rained. Also, since we needed both a notebook, an A4 fieldwork booklet and on some days another A4 booklet with us in the field, this clipboard was useful in that I could keep one or both of the booklets in the waterproofing readily accessible, while using the back of the clipboard for resting my notebook on or one of the booklets when I needed to read/work on them. Of course that only works on dry days, but it did prove useful as a means of having papers easily accessible.
