The cutscenes can be pretty weird, I don't know any other way to say it than this game is VERY Japanese. The translations are all pretty off, but it gives the game a unique character. The races are typically one on one battles through the highways of Japan, with occasional boss races that can sometimes hold multiple opponents either at once or in a chain for an added challenge. The car customization is pretty good, as are the driving physics. This game allows you to tune pretty much every aspect of your car, allowing you to tune for grip or drifting depending on your racing style. While there's certainly not a Gran Turismo amount of cars, there are more than you would expect, and most of them are pretty cool and are rarely seen in racing games, such as the DeTomaso Pantera. Some people complain about the music, but I really like it. It WILL get stuck in your head. The main problem is the lack of variety.
