I kept the next size down as total dimensions on it are 61” which meets the 62” max for most international flights. ***I will say all my travel companions have larger “max size” suitcases and have never had a problem. I just don’t want to risk it PLUS don't want to fill it up and have it be too heavy for me to manage.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Truly lightweight

I would give it 5 stars but I haven't used it yet. My trip of 13 days to Europe including a cruise, with only a carry-on is coming up soon though. I got the UpLIFT carry-on because it only weighs 5#. Once I received it I got on the scale with it to check if Samsonite told the truth about the weight. They did. It came up 5.0 lbs on my scale. With a total weight limit of 22# to carry on, the difference between a 7-8# suitcase and a 5# is important. As to the quality, it seems fine. And I actually love that there is a gap inside between the two zipped sides due to the expandability. I have several items that I will love to put in that gap, like my travel pillow & jacket. I have read some of the bad reviews about the hinge between the two sides being weak. Seeing the actual case I can see what they are talking about. It is shorter than most. As I will be the only one handling this suitcase I will treat it carefully when opening and closing. If one is careful not to put undue stress on that hinge, I expect it to be fine. For me the advantages of the light weight outweigh that possible weakness.
