A shallow spool could be bought which will take 300m of 0.30 line. Hope this helps. **Q: Does the reel actually weigh 1.5 kg as stated twice in the advert?** A: Just weighed one of these reels fully loaded with as much 15 pound line as it will take and a 60 pound shock leader, it came in at approx 900 grams, no where near 1.5 Kg **Q: Is this real left and right handed?** A: It can be both. The reel arm can be removed and placed left or right. I'm a lefty so it was great it had this option. **Q: Would the spool fit 300m of 0.18mm braid to rim, or need backing as well?** A: Will definitely need backing as the standard spool is rated for 620m for 0.33 line. The reel are fantastic and work a treat,but one of the reel boxes was ripped.
