Ultimately pleased but more detail as to why it was sold as refurbished would've been nice. All four units were dented on the top. I realized they wouldn't be perfect and they seem to work just fine, so I guess that's the price of not buying new. In general, the system works wonderfully. I found that it was insufficient without the subwoofer so I bought one of those separately, but together, it's an amazing auditory experience. Didn't take long to get the app set up and get the speakers connected. The subwoofer was a bit more cantankerous but I got there.

I think this sound system sounds great when you take the time to configure...and when you add on a sub its GREAT! But I do have some beef. There are connectivity issues with the Wifi on the app. Normally I wouldn't care but in this case its easier to make adjustments and sound fields on the app then to try and do it from the remote.

I had high expectations for this Sony sound system based on all the positive reviews and hype online, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver. The sound quality was noticeably underwhelming and far below what many reviewers and pundits have been praising. I expected rich, immersive audio with strong clarity and depth, but instead got something that felt flat and lacking in impact. For the price point and Sony’s reputation, I genuinely thought this would be a standout system—but it fell short of even basic expectations. Overall, I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for premium sound quality.

Best home theater system for ease of setup and incredible sound for movies & music.

These are really good, except that you cannot fully control the sound. I believe having a Sony tv may give more options, but i already had a Samsung tv. Anyway, absolutely no center voice ever plays out of the rear speakers in this system, which means the voice is always at the tv. I thought i would be able to adjust the sound to the center of the room, like in a vehicle where you can adjust left to right and front to back, but I cannot. I ended up adding the Samsung soundbar I already had, but put it at the back of the room, behind my couch, and upside-down (to keep left to right correct). I use it in clear voice mode to get what the song is not giving. I need this because my hearing is not perfect, my couch is 10 feet from the tv and right at the back wall where the rear speakers are, and is difficult for me to hear the dialog above the background sounds without the Samsung soundbar. Other than that, it's a great system and easy to set up.

It came in geeat! But I'd beware of this seller. Seller mentioned it was like it was never used. But many speakers had a bit wear and tear. Most of them had dents at the top. And a few had some stripped screws for the standa. The hdmi cable it came with was also a cheap one and did not have the ability to teansfer over the correct hdr information (1080p/4k cables will be fine) so the actual surround sound did not come through without additional purchases. Overall I consider myself incredibly lucky that they work great. But again, buyer beware for this price.

I love the bubble of sound that these create. I had went through a few options including the LG and Bose surround options but this one is a keeper. I do have the sub as well so that is a must to get adequate thump.

Fantastic, the setup process was super simple via the phone app. I didn't even read any instructions on paper.
