**Q: Are they waterproof?**
A: Sorry, this cable wire connect is not waterproof

**Q: What way do the connections fit into the sleeves**
A: If you look inside the plug you will see a metal strip and on the pin at the front of one side you will see a lip.the lip must face the metal strip. You will have to push hard until you hear the pin clip onto strip and it will lock . I hope this helps if not  utube has some vidio

**Q: What is the actual size of the connector**
A: The gray color plastic housing is about 3.5cm*4.8cm*1.5cm.

**Q: Is this a male and female plug/socket to fit into each other. The image seems to indicate two items of the same side that won't plug into each other**
A: Yes, they are the same but it's the way you fit the terminals inside each of the plastic parts . Fit like the palms of your hands touching each other left over right fingers to each wrist. Sounds complicated but obvious if you try terminals together before fitting into plug.
