I have tried this. I have the same issue. The thing that works best is Spray and Wipe by Flash but it's still hard work......! It does say not to use it on painted surfaces but I've been using it for a while and spray it on clean the surface and then rinse with clean water. You then (unfortunately) have to "buff" the surface up and dry it off completely otherwise it looks "streaky". The Bohle product is an absolutely amazing glass cleaner - you get no "white residue or smears using this.
