If you use longer straws for bigger cups, they just wont fit. This is not a problem for me, but it might be for some. A couple of tips. Do not overstuff the container. Even if you have to refill it every week instead of every other week, having space between the straws lets them fan out and lets you grab one easily without touching the others. Just keep your extras in the pantry. They don't take up much room. This is also great for reusable plastic straws (which is what I've switched to) and chopsticks.
