If not does the adhesive affect the paint after several years** A: You can glue to the bed liner. There is a surface prep solution that comes with the kit. I don't know about finish damage. **Q: How long after installation do you have to wait before closing and opening tailgate?** A: If the air temperature will fall below 55°F (13°C) within the next 24 hours or, if applied to a surface other than paint like plastic or a spray on bed liner, then leave tailgate open for 24 hours. When closing tailgate, the flex-fold middle can fold up or down. For all Silverado, Sierra, Frontier, Ford Ranger 2019 and newer, Ford trucks with a hinge retainer bracket and all pickups outside the U.S. market use ROK BLOCK XL (search ASIN: B075PWVW67) **Q: so basically when you have to remove your tailgate youll have to spend another $40 for a new one?** A: you can re-glue on side back down (keep one side glued down) or you can just leave one side loose after removing your tailgate. You are exactly correct, the ROK BLOCK is not really designed for a situation where you remove your tailgate often.
