Our repair patches are supple, strong and breathable, unlike PVC imitations that trap body heat. Our patches are made from MastaHide. They look like leather, act like leather and feel like leather. They have been developed to happily sit on expensive leather handbags and the most hard-working seats in the trucking business (customers include JCB). About 1.5mm thick, a unique tightly woven backing provides cushioning against damage below APPLICATION: Simple! Just peel off the backing paper (note the patch is more flexible once this stiff backing paper is removed), then press down the patch over the damaged area. You can use the item straightaway. The bond strengthens over 24 hours. ●Make sure the patch is big enough to cover the damage and still have some smooth, stable surface beneath to bond to. ●Check the area is dust-free and dry but do not clean with s as this can affect bonding. ●When applying on an area subject to a lot of friction, make sure the edges are positioned where they are least likely to be subject to constant rubbing. Take care over bumpy seams and folds; a patch should follow the contours of the fabric beneath. When the item is in use, pressures exerted on a poorly applied patch may put undue stress on the bonding. ●Mastasta products use an amazing water-based toxin-free adhesive. Designed for one-time application. Not suitable for machine-washing. ●To clean: wipe with damp cloth or leather cleaner.
