Most of the Ryzen 3000 series chips are rated at 65 watts or higher, so this would not work well with any of these chips. The Ryzen 3000g however is rated for only 35 watts, so in a case with decent airflow this should work ok. Even then if your use case maxes both cores and the embedded GPU you might still get some thermal throttling. **Q: Will this fit in a 1u chassis case?** A: Nope. **Q: is there not a higher tdp version of this to use with an r7 1700 (id prefer 100watt tdp for my overclock)?** A: This isn't the best choice for OC. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for my Ryzen 2600 *by P***K on 5 May 2019* Please note that this cooler is only rated for TDP of 45 watts. So it's not supposed to be used on a Ryzen 5 2600. However I decided to take a chance and give it a shot. My Ryzen 5 2600 quickly went up to 95 degrees and throttled to remain relevant. However this is because I didn't have any fans in the case. As a result it heated up the motherboard and the M.2 NVME too. However I have since put a single case fan in, and it only goes at 400RPM so it's dead silent, but it's getting some airflow through the case, and it has since dropped to about 75-80 degrees. Which while warm, is perfectly fine and within operating temperatures. Note this is while gaming on the Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, not idle (or full load). Results will definitely vary. But I'd say if you have even some airflow through your case, then this is a great CPU cooler due to its silence (so long as you don't mind its appearance). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great price for good performance 👍 *by L***A on 7 February 2021* I actually bought 3 of these fan as I've build machines for myself and family.The passive cooling works and for its price is very well worth. Nevertheless I have added a 120mm fan on top of it for my machine as it's on the go 24/7.
