I bought this for a DPMS Panther, Gen 1, in 308. The gun uses a DPMS 6 position stock, and I was concerned it might not fit, but it did. I didn't have any particular problem getting it on going top to bottom, taking care to get the side tab aligned. Did a couple of mags and it reduced the felt recoil enough to be noticeable. It also extended the eye line just a little, but that was actually an unexpected benefit.
