The ability to see the score of every game in progress, the schedules of the teams, the scheduled pitchers, the playoffs, etc just really makes the baseball season even MORE FUN. Plus this device is portable, and not tied to power, or the internet. Of course you need to make sure you are in the coverage area, which is easier said than done as the "coverage map" was no longer posted as of Dec 3, 2013 anyway.I previously had purchased the model that plugs into the wall, and frankly I still love it as well, as it sits on the small side stand next to my easy chair, but I wanted another one for work, and I got this one because it is totally portable and runs on batteries.Great gift to yourself, or to another baseball fan.
