I put 16oz of this product in once a week. No algae all year. I do it in the morning and swim in the afternoon. I have salt water and pebble finish pool **Q: does this clear algaecide dust?** A: Yes. It's done a great job in our pool. We have used it for two seasons now. We had a lot of green algae in our poor bottom as couldn't finishing opening it because of weather and sickness in family. Algatec cleared it right up and left the water sparkling. I had to physically clean around the bottom curve of the pool. I added Algatec to the water and the next day our pool was wonderfully clean. To be honest we also have a bottom robotic vacuum who we call "Helga" and she does an awesome job as well as our salt pump and sand filter that helps remove the clumped algae that Algatec takes care of as once the Algatec works you need to filter the algae out of the water. It's taken many years and a lot of mistakes to finally get the right combination to work for us. Algatec is a part of that link in a crystals clear pool. I hope this was helpful. Follow the directions and you too will be amazed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helped me control my black algae *by S***E on July 27, 2011* I had developed quite a few spots of black algae in my white pebbletec pool, despite being vigilant about water chemistry. With this product, bleach, and some scrubbing, I have really beaten it back. I hesitate to say the black algae is eradicated, because it is so stubborn, but I am pleased with the results. Plus, Algatec has a wonderful clarifying effect on the pool water-- your water will be gorgeous. The only reason I don't give this product five stars is because it says it will eradicate black algae with minimal scrubbing, and I think that is an overstatement... you will have to scrub. My advice is to get out your snorkeling gear or goggles, take a 6-inch wire brush in hand, and get after it. This product will definitely be part of my ongoing pool-care regimen. Also, this product is safe for pools with salt water chlorine generators, and won't change pool chemistry.
