A: Really only for installation.  You may need a custom-made tool to remove hundreds of points if you are a professional, but if it’s just a few points a fine screwdriver (screwdriver for small screws) and a needle nose pliers would be all you would need.

**Q: Will this tool be effective on a oak wood picture frame?**
A: The main purpose of this tool is to help push push pins in. You must sue a box cutter to slowly cut into the wood first, and then use this tool to push the push pins into the slot you just created,

**Q: Will it push into plastic frames?**
A: Insertion pressure will very depending on the hardness of the frame material. The tabs on the "nail" won't tolerate much insertion pressure before bending.
