Once I got the knack of putting it on, and there are several ways you can figure out to do it, I find it is easier to use than the harnesses made of straps. The velcro overlap on the top lets you adjust fit easily. We did not use the leash, but it looks perfectly fine if you choose to use it. The only caveat is that the two rings that you attach to your leash are bulkier than one and if you have a very small snap hook it can be difficult to attach them. You could remedy this by attaching small key rings to the existing rings if you need to get them to fit your leash. Review: So good I bought two more - A friend sent the XXS version for my 12 week old puppy. It is well made and velcro and plastic buckle make ir very secure. The matching leash is long and very useful. They fit well and puppy seems to find them comfy.
