Do not believe current image of 1.5 inch. Sure you could probably pull/fluff it to get 1.5 but that is not the main purpose of product. Wishing I bought more to double it up or simply bought elsewhere where thicker. **Q: Would this make good filler for little jewelry gift boxes?** A: It would work but you'd be filling little jewelry boxes for a long time with this amount of dacron. **Q: How thick is this? I am looking for Dacron that is 1" thick.** A: 1/2 inch. Do not believe current image of 1.5 inch. Sure you could probably pull/fluff it to get 1.5 but that is not the main purpose of product. Wishing I bought more to double it up or simply bought elsewhere where thicker. **Q: Can this be layered to increase thickness? If so, do I need an adhesive to attach the layers? I need to replace porch swing cushions.** A: Yes it can be layered & it would be best to attach the layers with a spray adhesive to keep them from sliding around inside the cushion and get "lumpy" & twisted. Just spray both sides (for permanent bond) lightly, let set for a couple of minutes them bond them.
