I can't compare it to more expensive ones, not being able to bring myself to purchase a high-end exfoliator. But I can tell you that this one really works. When I was back in college (many, many moons ago) I had used a Buff-Puff regularly. My skin became pretty raw, and it looked red for months after I quit using it. Not good. Perhaps I was over - zealous in my use of it. But this mitt is so much better! I don't use it every day, only every other day, or even every 3 days. I am careful to "scrub lightly" if there is such a thing. And yes, my skin looks slightly red for a few minutes after use. But that quickly fades, and I am left with clearer skin . . . I could see a difference in the first few weeks. (I actually went 5 days between uses for the first few times, to give my skin a chance to get used to it.) I don't even use it "right" -- I just wait until the end of my shower, then use it on my wet skin. It works well that way, and doesn't add a lot of time to my routine. I have always had a few blackheads and white heads, as well as larger pores, and these have improved as well. I noticed smaller pores almost immediately. The only negative is that my white heads are coming to the surface now -- which is only a temporary negative, if you can consider it negative at all. The only way to get rid of them is for them to become temporarily more prominent. But I am so delighted with the clearer and smoother skin that I'll just pretend I don't mind seeing the white heads moving to the surface. Another positive -- I truly do think it makes my facial lines less noticeable. With all the stuff I've started putting on my face, it's hard to tell which product is helping how much, but I think there was definitely a step forward when I began using the mitt. There has also been a lightening of some spots on my face (you know, those "horrid age spots --- if you are old enough to have them, you probably remember the old commercial). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reveals soft and smooth skin *by G***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2015* This thing really gets the dead skin off! Leaves you feeling soft and smooth. I have very dry skin, and I have used every lotion, body scrub, wash, oil...you name it. Nothing compares to how nice this makes your skin feel. Sure I apply lotion after I get out of the shower, but the amazing thing is I not all dry and flaky 15 mins later!! Still soft and smooth!
