Only more politically correct & more expensive. They meet every 3 years for the sole purpose of changing codes. Not to keep up with technology. Not because there was some scientific data to show their changes are necessary. Only to add a permanent ladder to every school roof in America that has a roof deck higher than 16'. Tradesmen don't need that. Maintenance people do not need that, or want it. (I do not care how burglar proof you try and make them, teenagers will find a way to get up them and on the roofs) And Firemen absolutely do not need them. You ever seen a ladder on a Fire Truck? The only people who need a permanent ladder are out of shape, lazy code officials who haven't got the guts to climb an extension ladder.The only reason I bought this book is because I have to know what silly code changes they have come up with so I can ensure I have it in my bids & installations. As a business man, I do not care! I make a percentage off everything I sell.But as an American, I care plenty! God save us from the ICC and bring us back to the days of the UMC. America would be far better off.If anyone wants to send me a message and defend this pile of garbage, please feel free! I will debate you anywhere, anytime.
