Featuring the world’s first 40-megapixel APS-C sensor, 8K video and powerful features for both stills and motion creatives, X-H2 offers an incredible specification in a compact and portable body. The all-new X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor produces images with incredible color and detail, featuring Pixel Shift Multi-Shot – another X Series first – that generates 160-megapixel files. 8K video is possible for up to 240 minutes with 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes footage recorded internally via CF Express Type B card. 12-bit RAW footage can also be recorded via the Type A HDMI socket to compatible external recorders. Add the optional VFT-XH File Transmitter to access Remote Rec, allowing control over up to four cameras simultaneously – perfect for live streaming. Review: Good camera - Good camera for the price, the 40 MP is a great usp especially when cropping. Camera feels sturdy in hand and weight balance is adequte when using telephoto lenses.
Review: Feature Rich Camera - Lots to like. Even has GPS that I didn’t knew it had. Coming from full frame Canon DSLR’s. Got the Fringer adapter for all my Canon lenses and they work well with it. The Jpegs coming right out of the camera are extremely nice with lots of film simulations to choose from. It may change how you think about raws on this camera. I would more heavily edit the raws on my Canon’s to get what I like, not so much on the XH2. Jpegs edit well but not really needed imagine that. Low light high iso is just ok, not quite like my full frames. The resolution is fantastic but the file sizes are large and will become an issue. More storage solutions coming my way. Kit lens is good but not stellar for this high resolution camera. Everything you would expect from a flag ship camera.

A staple of GFX System cameras, Pixel Shift Multi-Shot records 20 frames, shifting the sensor by 0.5 pixels between each frame. Resulting images are automatically combined into one DNG RAW file, which can be output to a desired file format using suitable RAW processing software. Using Pixel Shift Multi-Shot ensures false colors and moiré effects are suppressed.

Good camera for the price, the 40 MP is a great usp especially when cropping. Camera feels sturdy in hand and weight balance is adequte when using telephoto lenses.

Can I give it more than five stars? I already have an X-S20 but we are about to have a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii with four families and I've been eyeing the H2. Amazon had a used one in Mint condition and I snapped it up. When Unique Photo said Mint, they weren't kidding! Not only was it flawless, it came with the original box and all accessories. It is larger than the X-S20 and slightly heavier, but has the same great grip. When I did some test video in 4K, 4K HQ, 6.2 K and 8K onto a Sandisk CF Express, B, I was very disappointed with the quality in FCP on my M4 Mac. The video was somewhat "fuzzy". However, when I exported it as a QT Movie the quality was superb. It must be that in order to process those large files, FCP downgrades the video a bit on the screen. I found that I couldn't see any difference between the four resolutions, so unless you intend to do zooming in on the computer or cropping, 4K is just fine. All in all, this is an amazing camera!
