The lid never leaked until I dropped my bottle and the handle and lid broke. I really like the straw feature because it not a typical mouth piece - you don't need to purse your lips. It easy to use, replacement fits perfectly, and it's really easy to clean. While it was a bit pricey of lid, it's cheaper and better for the environment than replacing the whole bottle.
