Review: Esta es una verdadera navaja de trabajo. A pesar de estar hecha en China está perfectamente acabada, muy buen filo de fabrica, ambas hojas centradas, muy buenos muelles con excelentes clics para abrir y cerrar, los uñeros muy bien ejecutados. Las cachas muy bien terminadas con transiciones correctas al nickel-plata de los bolsters. En absoluto NO hay gapping (claros entre muelles y liners). Es idéntica a mi vieja Case Hunter tanto en medidas como en peso y desempeño solo que esta old timer cuesta una cuarta parte y ademas incluye una excelente funda para el cinturón. Si consideras que me costó 30 Dólares es un regalo ya que se puede pensar en 25 Dólares por la navaja y 5 Dólares por la funda, es un precio increíble!!!! Lo raro es que esta disponible en desertcart México y viene de desertcart USA y en el sitio de desertcart USA aparece como NO Disponible. Me llegó en solo dos dias. Muchas gracias desertcart!!!
Review: Very well built and strong. Better configuration than the Buck knife of similar size. The blades pivot stiffly so they won't try to close on your fingers. Very sharp out of the box and good looking.

**Q: Where is it made**
A: Schrade USA went under in 2004. Taylor Brands bought all the Schrade family of brands, and the intellectual rights (patents, etc.). Taylor Brands contracted to have the knives made in China. Taylor Brands sold out to BTI a couple years ago, BTI continues to have the knives made under contract in China.
FWIW I have some old Made in USA Old Timer's and a some of the same models made by both Taylor Brands and BTI.  The offshore produced knives are every bit as good as the USA made , as far as quality, edge holding, and durability is concerned.  The coloration of the sawn Delrin of on the offshore knives is slightly different than what was used on the USA made knives to help prevent them from being fraudulently passed off as USA made. (there are a few other things to help tell them apart, as well. All the Taylor and BTI knives have stainless steel blades. However, there is no "Schrade +" on any of the tangs, like  the USA made knives with stainless steel blades have.
BYI is an American company, by the way, so when you buy an offshore made Schrade, you are supporting an American company, just as you re if you buy a Case, Buck, or GEC.

**Q: Does this knife come with a hole on the end?**
A: No hole on end

**Q: Do any of the blades lock?**
A: It is a slipjoint. None of the blades lock open or closed.
People have been using slipjoints for hundreds of years without losing their fingers. The normal cutting action forces the blade open. The job of a backspring is to keep the blade closed when it is in your pocket (or in the case of this knife, in the belt sheath) and to keep the blade from flopping half closed when open, and you are not cutting something at the moment. An excessively heavy pull does not make a knife "safer"; quite the contrary. You are more likely to cut yourself fighting a knife to get it open. Especially when your hands are cold an/or wet.

**Q: Is this knife good for whittling/carving?**
A: I use mine for hunting not sure if it will be good for carving. It is a great knife!

Great knife! Fit and finish is excellent. Scales and bolsters are flushly fit. Zero blade wobble! Good snap and spring function Steel is ground to a nice even and sharp edge. Sheath quality is excellent quality as well!
