This wood puzzle traps a wine bottle, or any bottle that will fit into the base. It has a completely different look and solution as compared to our Connoisseurs Dilemma I original string puzzle. This one does expose most of the bottle for those of you wanting to display a label more prominently. At first glance the puzzle seems quite complex, as there is a lock on one side and the key to open it is trapped within a string puzzle on the site side. It is indeed tricky, though the solution can be fairly done quickly if you are familiar with string puzzles. It is quite possible to get this thing all balled up and a tangled mess. Not ot worry, however; as we provide an extra set of keys to the lock just in case things get a little to complicated or inhebriated. It's then relative easy to untangle the rope and set it up anew.ï¿½ Note, If you are buying the puzzle new, we have made it easy for you to load a bottle for the initial time as we have provided spare keys. The difficult string portion of the puzzle is all set up, so you don't need to do anything there. You can just unlock the key with one of the provided spare keys, remove the metal rod, slide out the 2 wood dowel rods and then insert your bottle. Adjust the height to fit your bottle, re-insert the wood rods and then the metal rod and the lock. Once this is done, remove the spare keys and present the bottle to your victim. Note that if you need to, you can use a spare key at any time to get at your bottle without having to resort to cutting the string.
