It was used by a company I worked for to clean fine metallic items . Many years later when I was looking for a similar product I remembered Scotch Brite. I purchased o box for my home use ; from removing rust from metal items ( bits of bikes) to cleaning metal pots and pans either dry or in water.. p e r f e c t . Do not use on plated items. Review: Best option ever for cleaning your Cast Iron pans daily - I have been using these as my kitchen scrub pads for over 25 years. I am sure they would ruin any non-stick coating instantly; but I don't have any of that, so there is no trouble there. If you are one of those hippies that never actually washes your cast iron, these won't be for you. I use cast iron to cook every day and I wash it with soap and hot water after every use. If you don't want your eggs to stick, use some oil and cover the food with a lid. Really. Super great on carbon steel kitchen knives as well. And they will remove burnt-on caramelized food in a jiffy from any cookwear. Great in the workshop too. Easily remove rust from wood planes and table saws. ## Features - Perforated for quick and easy tearing, reducing waste - Superior alternative to steel wool, wire brushes, sandpaper, and other non-woven products for cleaning or finishing tasks - Very fine grade aluminum oxide abrasive cleans, finishes, grains, denibs, and defuzzes - Pad resists tearing, splintering, shredding, loading and will never rust, providing a long, useful life ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CGPCTHT | | Best Sellers Rank | #104,620 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #5,571 in Tape | | Brand | 3M | | Brand Name | 3M | | Compatible Material | Wood, Metal, Plastics, Ceramics, Porcelain, Rubber, Composites | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 994 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 10048011040292 | | Grit Material | Aluminium Oxide | | Grit Material Type | Aluminium Oxide | | Grit Number | 150 | | Grit Type | Very Fine | | Item Diameter | 6 Inches | | Item Dimensions | 6 x 152 x 229 Millimeters | | Item Weight | 0.45 Kilograms | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 6 x 152 x 229 Millimeters | | Manufacturer | 3M | | Material | Aluminium Oxide | | Material Type | Aluminium Oxide | | Model Number | 7447 | | Number of Items | 20 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | SB64926/7447 | | Set Name | 20-Pack | | Unit Count | 20.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** 3M - **Grit Material:** Aluminium Oxide - **Grit Type:** Very Fine - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 6 x 152 x 229 Millimeters - **Material:** Aluminium Oxide ## Images ![Scotch-Brite General Purpose Hand Pad 7447 Pro - 20 Count - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81LqInFQV8L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What sandpaper grit is this equivalent to?** A: Equivalent to 320 Grit Sandpaper **Q: Do you have a 3M pad that is rectangluar that fits onto a floor mop (like a swifter)** A: The one 3M makes is called a Doodlebug.
