Repeat until the lens glass is clean. CAUTION: Do not use any synthetic cleaning solutions on the camera! **Q: How do i import my dives to the paralenz dive app?** A: - The first page you’ll see when you open your app is the dive log overview. Until you’ve imported your dives, this page will be empty. To import a dive, go to the camera page under the menu. - If the camera is not connected, click “connect camera” and the app will guide you through the connection process. - When connected to the camera, the camera main page will appear. From this page, you have short cuts to the most used settings on the camera. To import a dive, click on “import dive log”. - A list with your dives will appear. Click on the dive you want to import. - The Paralenz Dive app allows you to see through all your footage and pictures on the camera. When you see something you want to import, you simply click on the check mark. When you have selected all the media you want to import, click download. - This page allows you to name your dive and choosing your dive type. Click download to download the dive log and related media. - Your dive will now appear in the dive log overview. **Q: How do I calibrate the depth sensor? (Zero depth)** A: The depth sensor in the camera works by measuring the surrounding pressure. At the surface the camera will be affected by the atmospheric pressure. This means that on days with a relatively high atmospheric pressure the pressure sensor will register this as a false depth reading. Normally with 1 m/ 3 feet. The camera has a function to calibrate the depth sensor. It's is important that calibration is done approximately at sea level and not at a high altitude. To calibrate the depth sensor please follow these steps: 1) Turn the selector ring to settings. 2) Tap the activation switch until the displays ADVAN. I use the camera at the end of the third person viewer pointing forward with 18” x 24” extension. This method allows for less camera shake and lets me ger closer to what ever I’m videoing. Paralenz has been simply outstanding in responding to whatever issues I have encountered. I had an issue with the camera not holding my settings. They responded in 1 day giving me the fix to the program. On another occasion I inquired as to whether they could supply me with the clip on the third person viewer that holds the camera. One of the ears had broken on mine. Their response was to send me an entirely new viewer at no cost. Recently the selector ring became difficult to move eventually becoming totally frozen. I emailed about my problem and they responded with a prepaid label for me to send it to their repair facility. They received on a Monday. The following Thursday I received what amounted to a new or refurbished camera. I offered to pay for any repair costs as my U.S. 1 year warranty had expired 4 months ago. Additionally I had used some rather aggressive methods ( crescent wrench) to try to force the selector ring thereby a fading the camera body and selector ring. In spite of the out of U.S. warranty and my abusing the camera, no charges were levied - plus they paid for shipping both ways.Regarding camera performance I could not be more pleased. I used use Sony HD video inside an Ikelite housing with a magenta filter. The Paralenz outperforms the old rig in all aspects the color correction and overall picture quality is superior. The only deficiency in the Paralenz is that it does not do macro as well as the Sony.. overall the quality of the pictures, its compact size and its wide variety of features makes it a winner for me. It is easy to handle has great features built in and is very intuitive. So all this stuff is awesome! Having said that, the software is not. Downloads via WiFi are slow - that is if you get it to work. I simply use the memory card to download pics to my phone or computer. The camera froze several times on me under water while changing between video and snap shot. Figured I didn’t wait long enough??? So clearly they have to do some catching up with their software. There was a minor issue with my order and after trading emails with someone in customer service, a representative in Denmark called to make sure I was happy with how the issue was resolved. While I was on the phone, the representative was asking me how I liked the camera, how I use it, and how it could be improved. He was genuinely interested in making sure the product was the best and finding out how they could make it even better.The camera itself is perfect for Scuba Divers and anyone that wants to take underwater video, in my opinion. The in-camera color correction makes the videos perfect right out of the camera, other than having to edit sometimes due to my shaky video skills. I also have a GoPro Hero5 and not having to worry about putting the camera in the SuperSuit if I’m diving below 30 feet, makes taking the Paralenz on every dive a no-brainer.The battery life is good and after spending a few minutes to get to know the iOS app, downloading and sharing the video is simple. I also love the fact that Paralenz just started their Paralenzworld.com website, which allows you to upload and store all your video to the cloud free of charge. Even better, you are able to access that video via your YouTube account.I’m still playing with different mounts to find out the best way to carry the camera on a dive, but it works perfectly if you use it like a torch.
