Description

Kit contains 4 Mini GD columns, (8) 2mL collection tubes, 3mL GST buffer, 4mL GSB buffer, 2mL W1 buffer, 1mL wash buffer (4mL add Ethanol).
It also contains 1mL elution buffer and 1mg Proteinase K (0.1mL add ddH2O).
For research use only, Extract genomic from blood, tissue, buccal swab, and amniotic fluid.
Sample size: 50-200 microliter of whole blood (fresh/frozen blood), up to 25mg of tissue, up to 25mg of paraffin-embedded tissue, buccal swab, up to 15 ml of amniotic fluid.

The gMax mini kit provides an efficient method for purifying total (including genomic, mitochondrial and viral ) from whole blood (fresh/frozen blood), tissue, buccal swab and amniotic fluid. Chaotropic salt is used to lyse cells and degrade protein, allowing to bind to the glass fiber matrix of the spin column (1). Contaminants are removed using a Wash Buffer (containing ethanol) and the purified genomic is eluted by a low salt elution buffer or TE. The entire procedure can be completed in less than 30 minutes without phenol/chloroform extraction or alcohol precipitation, with an average yield of 6 microgram from 200 microliter of whole human blood. Purified , with approximately 20-30 Kb, is suitable for use in PCR or other enzymatic reactions. The quality of the gMax Mini Kit is tested on a lot-to-lot basis by isolating genomic from 200 microliter of whole human blood. The purified (4-6 microgram with an A260/A280 ratio of 1.6 - 1.8) is quantified with a spectrophotometer and checked by electrophoresis. Caution: GSB Buffer contains guanidine hydrochloride which is a harmful irritant. During operation, always wear a lab coat, disposable gloves, and protective goggles. Spin column format. Yield: up to 50 microgram. Operation time: 30 minutes or less. Elution volume: 50-200 microliter.
