The first story was like a basic video game set up, the girls are summoned to a Final Fantasy type world, they beat the bad guy and go home. The second part throws a lot of that out of the window giving us a tale of unexpected twists and surprises. Clamp's artwork improved immensely in this series too. Gone are a lot of the small chibi side drawings with really small type, which were really hard for me to read since Dark Horse printed them way too small in the first volume. Everything was a lot cleaner and easier to digest. So overall I give the entire Magic Knight Rayearth manga 5 Ingrids from the Capcom video game Capcom Fighting Evolution out of 5! Can't wait until I encounter these girls again in Super Robot Wars T on the Switch!
