The clips close firmly and are easy to open and close without the plastic deforming, and they're smooth on the outside top and bottom. This can be an issue if you want to stack them, but otherwise, they're solidly built.

I bought smaller ones, bigger ones, they're all amazing for organizing those pesky little small items that don't really fit anywhere and just slide around your drawer every time you open it. Please, note that these are not super sturdy and you should not expect them to protect the items inside from large amount of pressure or impact. They're not flimsy but they're also not made out of metal.
