    Ancient Rock

I first bought this LP around 30 years ago when this sort of prog rock style was all the rage. Australia had a few bands doing this stuff like Blackfeather, Masters, Spectrum, McKenzie Theory and the like. It really sounds dated now so I only got this CD out of nostalgia, but I do remember why I liked it back then, pity they didn't do a couple more to expand their style, but if your old album is worn out or never returned by a friend, and you don't like much of the new stuff then give it a try because most of this album is as good as any of the overseas bands going around at the time. Recording quality a bit uneven but good enough to enjoy

    Top Perth band

*by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2008*

I was lucky enough to see this band when they first started in the early seventies, they progressed and got better. They had a good balance of jazz and rock they played a lot of original music they were the first progressive rock group in Perth. Their other recording was A ROCK MASS FOR LOVE recorded live 1971 at the St George's Cathedral Perth, I have the album it was never recorded on cd. But this cd is best music the boys put together, if you are into good progressive music of the seventies this will be a good choice.

    Bakery - 'Momento' (Radioactive)

*by M***D on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2011*

Originally released in 1972, as this was the heavy progressive band's second (of just) two albums. Liked what I'm hearing from this four-piece that comes from Perth, Australia. They have plenty to offer - like for starters the the nine-minute "Holocaust", the total ass-kicking "S.S. Bounce", "The Gift" and the P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L "Faith To Sing A Song" (worth the admission price alone). Line-up: John Worrall - flute & vocals, Tom Davidson - vocals, Eddie McDonald - bass, Rex Bullen - keyboards and Hank Davis - drums. Fans of - say Badger, Flash and possibly King Crimson will likely get the most out of this title.
