Display port 1.4 is only needed when using 4k resolution this monitor does not offer. **Q: Freesync/ adapative sync over hdmi? or dp only ? really important question i need anwsered. asus told me they do. i literally had to buy hdmi to dp.** A: DP only **Q: I know Asus monitors, sometimes have an issue with their ventilation and the monitor can be pretty loud, has anyone noticed if this is loud at all** A: Mine doesnt get loud but it does get quite hot. **Q: Is Gsync active at 170hz?** A: Yes, although I keep mine at 160hz. While playing Red Dead Redemption 2 I experienced some slight flickering when the screen turned mostly white at the full 170hz Although in counter strike and other games I had no issues. Monitor is insanely awesome! Was skeptical at first of the price tag, but now that I have it I couldn’t go back! Also easy to switch from different Monitor speeds on the fly.
