**Q: The 323 will measure DC amps as well as AC?  What range will this tester handle in DC amps?**
A: no just ac clamp around wire

**Q: if I, say, clamp a 120V AC lamp cord, will it measure amps correctly? What about a 220V pool pump motor? Thanks!**
A: That 220vac motor will have a data plate that might say full load amps or something like that. Clamp hot wire somehow to get the best reading and if it's pulling higher amperage than what it's rated for, get a new motor. It should run below what it's rated for. As for the lamp, I can't imagine why you would need to check amp draw for that but this meter will do it brah... It's pretty accurate

**Q: I need to measure volts, amps and hertz to adjust my generator.  Does this model measure hertz?**
A: NO. Buy fluke 325 if you need to measure frequency, LD.
