It's a modern and very simple design. There is a strong sturdy base and an arm that moves on a hinge. You can change the angle of the arm to what best fits your eye level and it stays put. I tested with a Nexus 10. Anyone who owns a Nexus 10 knows how big and how heavy it is. I actually don't use the tablet much because it's a bit cumbersome but to test it's best to use the biggest and heaviest tablet I own. To put it simply this tablet stand held the Nexus 10 up and angled without a problem. I did need to angle the arm up so it wasn't sitting essentially flat at 180 degrees. The reason being when it was flush like that there was no force back to hold up the heavy tablet and it would fall forward. All the other angles worked well and you can see it the picture how steadily the Nexus 10 is held up. If you use this stand with a lighter tablet like the Note 8 or a Nexus 7 (the two I have and tested) you should be just fine with all the angles you can make on this hinge arm. I received this tablet stand for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. It's now on the kitchen table to hold up the Nexus 7. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect little stand *by ***W on 11 September 2018* This little stand is exactly what I have been looking for! I use my phone as an alarm clock and I used to fumble around my bedside table trying to find it in the morning. Now, my phone sits upright in the cradle and I can see the screen perfectly! I also use to lose my charging cable any time i unplugged my phone, but now it is slid through the space for the cable and helps it to not slip away. The ability to adjust the viewing angle is really great. This stand feels very solid and a little heavy, but enough so that I'm not worried about the weight of my phone toppling it over. I can't really say enough about how this little stand has been such a great purchase! I'll probably end up buying one for my husband too! :) Well worth the money! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Purchased this for the Nintendo Switch *by M***E on 19 September 2018* This is a nice heavy stand that will not topple over easy. The hinged areas are awesome! No need to loosen/tighten screws to adjust which is a huge plus when the primary user is a child. My son said the best feature is that it folds so he can take it with him anywhere since the Switch built-in stand is very flimsy and he is afraid it will break.
