It requires a 29mm diameter hole for mounting and a panel thickness of up to 26mm can be accomodated. The clamping nut is not HEX shaped but has tabs allowing it to be tightened by punching around a tab. The internal negative ring has indents which partly lock the plug. The only roblem is that the inline fuse-holder (fitted with an F10A fuse) on the positive lead is clamped to the wire on both sides. Meaning that to unscrew the holder the wires become twisted by three full turns. This means that when changing the fuse it is best to release the "Faston Tab" from the holder to allow the wire to rotate. I have wired mine to the live section of my leisure battery in a motorhome, but if you link it to an existing socket it will mirror what that does i.e. it will only be live when the engine is running. **Q: What size holesaw would you use to cut a clean circle for this?** A: Diagram on advert shows the barrel thread outside diameter (ie. the size of the hole that you need...) as 28.6mm. However the wire is low quality aluminium core.
