Cookie dough that's soft does not roll so much as squish. I used this for the first time a couple of weeks ago with some very soft, pumpkin cookie dough, and it was a game changer! I could scoop up fairly evenly sized bunches of dough and use the handle to push them out of the spoon area onto the cookie sheet quickly and precisely. Because the dough was so soft, they still weren't exactly uniform in size and shape, but they were infinitely more so than they would have been if I had used my hands. The only reason I took one star off was that I found it difficult to get a spatula into the little spoon area to scrape out the dough that had stuck in there. But if being unable to get every last bit of cookie dough onto the baking sheet is the price I pay for easier baking, I'll take it! Definitely recommended.
