NOW Xylitol is derived from Non-GMO corn. It is comparable to xylitol derived from other sources, such as birch. It resembles sugar in consistency and taste, but has a third fewer calories and is a great sugar alternative for diabetics. Xylitol may also inhibit cavities by denying plaque bacteria the fuel (sugar) it needs to erode tooth enamel. It can be used as a sugar substitute in most sugar-free recipes. ## Features - Source naturals, jarrow formulas, nordic naturals, doctor's best, healthy origins - Content - 2.5 lbs (1134 g) - Dietary supplement - FSSAI Importer Licence no: 22119676000345 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0013P3KC6 | | ASIN | B0013P3KC6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #123,766 in Grocery & Gourmet Foods ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Foods ) #1,126 in Sugar Substitutes | | Brand Name | Now Foods | | Container Type | Pouch | | Country of Origin | USA | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (6,936) | | Date First Available | 7 August 2012 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00733739069863 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 15.2 x 12.7 x 10.2 Centimeters | | Item Package Weight | 1.16 Kilograms | | Item Weight | 5 Ounces | | Item Weight | 142 g | | Item model number | NOW06986 | | Manufacturer | NOW | | Manufacturer | NOW | | Model Number | NOW06986 | | Net Quantity | 1182.94 Milliliters | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Part Number | NOW06986 | | Product Dimensions | 15.24 x 12.7 x 10.16 cm; 141.75 g | | Size | 1.18 l (Pack of 1) | | Specialty | GMO Free propylene Glyco, Sugar Free | | UPC | 733739069863 885722011943 885710043529 785923556437 885721313789 | | Unit Count | 1182.94 Milliliters | | Warranty Description | no warranty available | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Now Foods - **Item Weight:** 5 Ounces - **Package Information:** Pouch - **Package Weight:** 1.16 Kilograms - **Speciality:** GMO Free propylene Glyco, Sugar Free ## Images ![Xylitol, 2.5 lbs (1134 g) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qdFVzg7GL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: is this product made in china?** A: Don't even bother checking out the website provided by Bannarino.... cannot trust a website that is supposedly completely centered around xylitol that contains such a poorly written and poorly researched article that states "The fields the corn is grown in generally do not use pesticides, and only use non-GMO corn. This would qualify the corn as organic." FALSE. Non-GMO does not = organic. My guess is that this site was likely created, owned and ran by a China-based manufacturer and/or distributor of corn-derived xylitol with the sole purpose of plopping it down under their product page (as it is here) to use deceit and misinformation to persuade potential buyers to buy their product. It's a shame. BTW, also think twice before purchasing a product labeled as "non-GMO" if it doesn't show the "Non-GMO Project Verified" seal.... especially with corn products! **Q: Is this xylitol made in usa?** A: It appears that this corn-derived product not from birch from China, is shipped to US, where its inspected, processed and packaged. They seem to be thorough in their inspection and monitoring process to insure a high quality product. **Q: Is this Xylitol Brand MADE in the USA including its corn source?** A: "Made in China" on my purchase. Corn xylitol from China - BIG mistake. **Q: Can xylitol be used in baking?** A: Really good info about xylitol can be found here http://xylitol.org Includes info on how it is made, used, benefits, etc. ## Frequently Bought Together - NOW Foods, Xylitol, Pure with No Added Ingredients, Keto-Friendly, Low Glycemic Impact, Low Calorie, 2.5-Pound (Packaging May Vary) - PUR Gum | Aspartame Free Chewing Gum | 100% Xylitol | Natural Spearmint Flavored Gum, 55 Pieces (Pack of 1) - Zellie's | 100% Xylitol Sugar Free Cool Fruit Mints Breath Mints | Non-GMO, Low-Calorie, Gluten Free, Vegan & Kosher Mints (250 Count - Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/79545434-xylitol-2-5-lbs-1134-g](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/79545434-xylitol-2-5-lbs-1134-g) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
