My babies crawl to it and pull them self up lean on it and play. I imaging you can always put a big sitting pillow there when baby get a little older. **Q: What is the sound quality of the piano? Does it sound like a real piano or does it make 'tink tink' tin can sounds?** A: It sounds very good for a toy piano, but it definitely sounds like a toy piano. If you want the sound of a real one, you will have to pay for it. My daughter enjoys her piano though. But my daughter has been using this piano since she could sit up at 6 months. **Q: Can you play chords on it (multiple keys sound when struck simultaneously), or does it just allow one key at a time?** A: It will play more than one; the keys seem to strike something metallic in the piano (no strings or chords).
