The texture, the feel, and the undertone are everything. As a fair cool-neutral with an olive undertone, it can be very hard to match foundation, so I was excited to try this. It works very well for my skin tone—slightly more olive than Natasha Denona N2, which is the best color match I’ve ever found, but it’s fine when it blends out. What really sold me on this is the texture. It’s got a very light, cushiony serum feel that gives a beautiful satin finish that smooths out my textured areas and looks like skin. It dries down very quickly, but not so much you can’t blend it. The coverage is light to medium, it doesn’t settle into my lines and pores, and it feels so nice on my face—smoothing and more like skincare than makeup.
