If you download the user manual from the devolo web site it will confirm the above. I have the combined WiFi and LAN units and they work brilliantly just a thought just get them and extend your WiFi with mesh **Q: does the Magic 2 mesh keep the same speed of internet if the powerline connection(Backbone) has interference or dropouts?,** A: The wifi speed is not affected by whatever is happening to the powerline BUT it is the powerline that is providing the networking so if that is dropping out or has interference then the network speed will be reduced. If the network is used for internet access (as is likely) then you will see reduced internet connection speeds. I've just checked mine and it is 300mbs at the modem and 297 on this PC upstairs which is actually on a different circuit to the Devolo plug downstairs so that seems pretty good. Before I got the Devolo I had another make of powerline adaptor and the speed was hugely lower. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product and excellent backup *by A***R on 22 May 2020* This is an excellent product and the Wi-Fi speeds that I’m getting from it are ridiculously good. I Am fortunate to have a 1Gb Internet connection and this device is generally allowing me wireless speeds of up to 850 Mb per second. Any problems and the Devolo technical support team (you get straight through to a real person!!) Are available at the end of the phone. I have had a few questions and they have answered them fully and patiently and pointed me in the right direction.
