Attempted to install light yesterday and after 1.5 hours I gave up. Have same mounting issues with another review. It has poor hardware design and especially for existing installations. Manufacturer possibly assumes that fixture is for new installation where you can adjust your electrical box ( up or down ) to allow fixture to be mounted properly. I will keep because I have a new installation project. This was an open beam installation, there was absolutely no attic area above, the white ceiling you see is the under side of the roof. Painted the outside trims to match the existing wood color.
