I am asking for a refund. These are horrible. **Q: Is the band worn across the top of the head or the back of the neck?** A: Back of the neck, so it doesn't touch your hair/top of your head. They're a bit clunky because they're big for that, but they work fine. I can hear just fine, and they protect my ears from the cold. They absolutely don't protect for sound, which I think someone mentioned. They're stiffer than others I've tried - they stay on well and adjust super easily, but if you're looking for something purely for comfort, these kinda press on on the front edges. Not uncomfortable but worth noting. They're thick, cover my ears well for size, and stretch to fit my big head.
