The hose that comes with the waterfall is extremely short. It seemed to put undo stress on the connection causing it to leak. I decided to buy this hose to replace the short hose and it worked perfectly. I was able to build a stand mount for my waterfall and add this hose so I could move my waterfall farther away. It looks great and has worked like it should. A word of caution, don't tighten the hose too much. That will actually cause it to leak. You really only need to hand tighten it slightly and it's good to go. I have been using this hose for a year now and have had no problems at all.
