## Description

Two of gaming's biggest sleuths team up to solve the most puzzling mystery they have ever encountered. For the first time ever, the mind-bending puzzles of the Professor Layton series meet the courtroom drama of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Review: Great for fans of Ace Attorney and Layton alike! - Fantastic game and a wonderful mix of both the Ace Attorney series and the Layton series. Fans of either game will surely love this! I couldn't put it down!
Review: No Objection! Only Squeals of Delight. - Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright both found a mysterious book that transports them to a medieval world full of magic and witches. But when innocent women were tried as witches and sentenced to death by fire, Layton and Phoenix must combine their talents and skills to save their friends and reveal the truth behind the town. I'm in total heaven. When two of my favorite games join forces, I cannot but give a fangirl's squeal of delight. This is a dream come true. The plot was amazing. When compared with recent Layton's games, this story went above and beyond. The mystery was well hidden right up till the end. It had a delicious twist that will keep you glued to your 3DS. I barely put this game down since I got it. The ending was beautifully done. Parents should not worry about the content at all. There was a nice balance of puzzle solving and trials. Here is the break down: Layton's Puzzle Solving - There were 70 in-game puzzles. The puzzles' design remained the same. Actually, the puzzles were pretty simple and has less room for failure. I probably needed help with about 10. So be forewarn, it might not be a challenge. Ace Attorney's Trials - Trials were always a problem for me. I can be counted on to mess up a few contradictions. If you are not familiar with Ace Attorney, you are a defender who has to get a 'not guilty' verdict for their client. You used evidence and information to contradict witnesses. If you are familiar, you'll going to love this version. In this medieval world, magic exist and witnesses change their testimonies on the fly. So logic didn't always work. And you were not just dealing with one witness, you were sometimes dealing with 3-10 witnesses at the same time! The designs were a nice mixture of Layton's and Ace Attorney's. The maps were easier to move around and finding hint coins and puzzles became easier. The 3D conversion and the graphics just kept improving from the previous Layton games. Their mouth movements matched their words perfectly and the lines and movements were smooth and seamless. And the fact that you get to see Phoenix and Maya as 3D characters was awesome. The voice acting was perfectly cast. Happily, the original voice actors returned as their perspective characters. However, there were a lot of scenes where they don't talk. Reading is a must. There were not any extra things to do during the playthrough. However, after you complete the game there will be a bonus of 12 episodes that will tell you what happened to the characters after the events. These are DLC and one episode is available a day. It's possible to get two. It took about 20 hours to finish the game. I sincerely hope there will be a sequel. The combination of the puzzle solving and trials made this a very entertaining game. I honestly would not change a thing. Except I wished it was longer. So, Layton and Ace Attorney fans, get this game NOW!

A little on the short side but this is a cross over you'd expect to mix some of the best elements from each game! I hope more of these come in the future.
