It's actual length is 4.4", worth noting if you need to mount this in anything that requires a specific length. Otherwise this is very good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality sharpener *by J***S on 23 November 2012* I bought this coarse stone along with some of the other DMT stones awhile ago and have become a huge fan. This particular stone is very effective at repairing an edge, but what I'm most impressed with is the quality. The construction of the stone is solid and tolerances are excellent.
