Bin sehr zufrieden! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the legs are so wide on that model and my desk is pretty thin so I wanted something with a heavy *by J***Y on 7 January 2015* I bought this because the desktop mic stand I was using started taking up too much space thanks to its tripod-style stand structure. For comparison purposes, here is the mic stand I was switching from: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Nu-Era-Tabletop-Mic-Stand/dp/B003VYBD58 As you can see, the legs are so wide on that model and my desk is pretty thin so I wanted something with a heavy, rounded base to use instead because it's more efficient and saves space. That's why I bought this one. I do podcasting along with voice overs and YouTube videos. Pros 1. Nice and heavy. I have no fear of my mic or stand tipping over. 2. Variable height. I keep it on the lowest setting but it's nice to know I can extend it if needed. 3. The threading fit my microphone clip (whatever came with the GLS ES-57) 4. Takes up so little space on the desk. The base is 6-inches in diameter and can be easily moved out of the way. 5. My Nady pop filter fits the stem. 6. Cheap and solid. It's all metal. Cons 1. The one I got actually wasn't the one pictured and I could tell by the tightening handle. In the picture, it's shiny black plastic and kind of short. On the one I got, the tightening handle is larger and actually better. No complaints but just be warned that there are at least two variants of these floating around. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. My last desktop mic stand took up so much space that it was a hassle to work with pretty much all the time. This is much smaller, heavier, and better built than my last one and that's what I wanted.
