The greatest success story for this product is the fiddle leaf fig I rescued from Aldi. It was not in the best of shape when I brought it home and it lost a leaf or two but I got it stabilized eventually. However, after a few waterings with this fertilizer new leaves began showing up at the top one after the other. Does it come with an expiry date?** A: No shelf life. I have an 8 ounce bottle that I have had for 15 or more years and it still works; possibly better than when I stored it away years ago. The nitrogen has decomposed and has a strong ammonia smell now, but my vegetable plants seem to like the decomposition. I don't recommend keeping it as long as I have, but I wouldn't go discarding it after a few years either. **Q: does it exipre?** A: The only untoward phenomenon I have noticed is that if one does not keep it in a shady place, out of direct sunlight, it will lose its color and turn clear as water in time ... I do not know whether this affects its potency, however. **Q: Does it smell bad?** A: No. I have used this for over 50 years, and have never noticed a smell. I have had several respiratory issues since birth, and severe allergies, but this has never bothered me. I just took a deep sniff, and I can barely detect anything, and that is with my nose on the rim. **Q: Has anyone had success with using this on fiddle leaf figs?
