It is a great fit and the feel of the material is very nice. The main reason that I am giving this product 5 stars is because of product quality for the price. This only cost me $18 and it is a great product for that price. The Nexus case is another winner by Poetic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Much Better than Anticipated! *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2014* I read so many mixed reviews about this case that I had no idea what I was going to end up with--a simple and elegant method of 2013 Nexus 7 screen protection or a shoddy piece of garbage! (It sounds like it may become the latter as time goes on, so if I notice any particular issues I will update my review!) I've had it for a few weeks now, and so far so good.It was a toss-up between this and one of the Moko cases, but ultimately it came down to style preference. Several of my family members have smart-covers for their iPads, and I wanted something that emulated that functionality. This is not an expensive case, and the materials used in its construction reflect that. But after reading dozens of reviews, I was prepared for what I received. And though it isn't made of leather and carbon fiber, for $15 I have no complaints! It does what it is supposed to do: fits my tablet nice and snug, microfiber on the inside of the flap limits screen smudges, wakes/fades the tablet when I open/close it, and magnets prevent slipping and scratching.The Slimline is not a case that I would want to test against slips and spills, so if you're looking for hardcore protection, look elsewhere. I bought it to prevent/limit scratches on the screen and body of my Nexus 7, and to create an attached stand for the tablet. Around the house, this is usually the only case that my Nexus has on it. However, I do carry my tablet around with me all day in a crammed backpack, so I also bought the padded KAYSCASE Pouch Cover to really protect it (if you don't mind some extra bulk, I highly recommend this course of action). It's possible that this second case has extended the life of my Poetic Slimline (I just close the Slimline and slip it into the Pouch Cover), but so far, I haven't noticed any wear on the Slimline. Maybe I just got lucky!I read on my tablet all the time and use it pretty extensively for note-taking and email, so that, coupled with packing up and unpacking for each class during the day, means that I am opening and closing the case a lot. I haven't encountered any issues thus far. The magnets make a satisfying connection to create a folded stand for two angles in landscape mode, and I can Swype/type my heart out on the flatter angle (stylus or finger) and easily activate touch-controls on the greater angle. I can definitely see why the stand might not hold up to heavy-handed folk (my dad is a pro at accidentally knocking over tablets and collapsing stands), but for me, the stand is just what I need.There is a tiny bit of cracking along the outside edge of the colored pleather-ish part, but that was there from the start and isn't getting worse or affecting the case's performance (just quality of materials, again). I got greasy grime on the colored part while I was cleaning my kitchen, and when it left a stain after initial wipe-off, I despaired at my odds of ever getting the case to look clean again. Much to my surprise, the outside of the case withstood a hardy scrubbing with a damp washcloth, and is back to its pretty light blue self! Whew.Overall: if you're on the fence about this case, I recommend it.
