It's a year old now and has held up perfectly. Super-lightweight, sets up in a blink (literally), and retains stability on sand, gravel -- you name it. It kind of self-levels, actually. Best $25 I ever spent, period. Used it myself waiting for the runner to show up, parked him in it during fast breaks, perched him on it at a gas station so I could fix his blistered feet. It was a life-saver.PS He's about 5'10" and thought the height was fine, as do I, at 5'5".= = = = = = =Greatest Of All Time. Super-happy with this stool. Rock-solid, sturdy construction, yet very compact and lightweight and easy to carry with the strap over my shoulder.I spectate at lots of Ironman triathlons, marathons and ultramarathons and such -- LONG events that can run many hours. Many do not have anywhere for spectators to sit except on the curb or the ground. No bleachers, for example. I'd be fine with that, except that I have advanced arthritis in my hip and it is excruciating to stand for that many hours. Pain pours down into my entire leg if I can't get off my feet occasionally.THIS stool is the answer!!! It is even stable on sand. I'm 5'-5", 135#, and the 19" height is perfect. You can still see what's going on, and it's easy to sit down and stand up. Canoe seats and sleeping pad slings are great, but still require something to set them on. These lightweight little beauties did the trick nicely. The stools were easy to lash to our packs, and at only three pounds for the pair, not one of my guys complained about portaging the extra weight. They provided instant seating wherever needed, and added a fair measure of comfort to our campsites.We've only used them for a week in the woods so far, but they seem sturdy and well put-together.
